I'd rate this game a 2/5. Bright Flashy objects and lots of things to shoot does not make a game great.
Excellent intro from the beginning of the demo. Nice story line to get you started into feeling your character. The graphics in this game are beautiful and pretty top notch, but that leaves plenty to be desired with the rest of the game.
The intro music on the main screen is catchy and gets a good vibe going, but once the game music enters in, it just gives you a head ache.
Most of the controls are in a good place, but the Fire button makes it so any 'Right Hander' has to stretch and roll fingers. This would be an ok game for someone equipped with a Joy Stick.
This game brings you into a time with a character who landed on a suspicious planet and then decides to stick around and explore (who hasn't heard that plot before?). Bringing you into the levels they start you out with the only instructions of "Collect as many Nuggests as you can. Becareful your suit will run out of air, collect the blue bubbles.."
Ok, so I now know that Blue Bubbles are my friend, but what do the nuggets look like? Going off the assumption that you expect all nuggests to be Gold, you might figure out that those are the little things you run into that add points to your little rock in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
Gases and barrels of toxic waste cover the landscape of this game. Amongst them you find bats, birds, spiked snails and other everyday creatures with a twist. This would not be so bad if they actually had some desire to attack you. Discovering that your left and right arrows are the only one you can use in this 2D design, and as you might have notice, the spacebar leads it up as the 'Jump' button.
If you can make your way across the screen (shouldn't be a problem), you will find yourself entering an "Ultimate Battle" against one of its many creatures. If you have managed to collect enough air bubbles you might have just enough breath to Jump and Shoot the thing down. Otherwise you waste a life and easily slaughter the Boss in seconds.
That would be cool if it moved you onto the next level, but instead you are left to go back through the whole level and collect as many Nuggets as you can. When does it end? You find nuggets in places you already collected them, a few hidden objects and a big level of frustration.
I am not a person afriad of a challenge, but this is just redundant. This game has been done to many times, and all though it beholds a great level of graphics and special effects, I wouldn't by it, not even for the kids.
