There are several resorts in the Caribbean and each one would be quite glad to say that they are the "Best for singles". The best of anywhere for anything is always difficult to define. This is because everybody is different, and that is what makes life interesting!

The main question that needs to be asked is what type of "singles" are you looking for? There are those fast-paced, go getter singles that like loud music, fancy dancing, and one night stands. Wolf down that T-bone steak, head to the casinos for a few games of cards, then pick up a partner and gamble a bit more back in your room. Where should this person head to in the Caribbean?

For this type of person, check out the Marriott Resort in St. Kitts. It has over 900 rooms, lovely swimming pools, a complete casino on the ground floor and lots of singles! The food is good, the atmosphere charged and it has its own beach and golf course. It also has a good selection of music and there are other bars around the island if you want to step out for even more variety.

Then there are the more sedate singles. They are generally a bit quieter and often avoid the discos; drinking wine with their lobster souffl while listening to classical music. They are not adverse to "pick ups", but are generally looking for a bit more commitment. They want to meet other singles, but in a bit more relaxed atmosphere, maybe hiking through the rain forest or riding along the beach. These singles need a resort to head to as well, but maybe not the same one!

These singles need to head over to the next island, Nevis, and check out the Four Seasons Resort. It is high class, excellent cuisine, and about 40% singles. They have three swimming pools for less than 200 rooms and one is for adults only; the Four Seasons Golf Course is rated one of the best in the world. The music is usually Reggae or Soca mixed with a bit of Buffet or Beach Boys, but played at quieter levels. There are no casinos or even gambling machines (except maybe in a private home) on Nevis, entertainment during the day is hiking, biking, riding, snorkeling, or just relaxing on the beach. If you do feel like a few hours of disco and nightlife, it is a short walk down the beach to Chevy's or Sunshine's Beach Bars.

These are two of the best resorts in the Caribbean for singles, so choose what type of single you are and then choose your resort!
