The path to compassion

The path to compassion
Is sometimes a long one

The person who is in need
Has to be the strong one

Even they know that the path
To compassion can be a long one

But they are patient
Waiting for the path to be chosen

Love and compassion within their
Hearts are not frozen

They know when the right path is chosen
Compassion for them will begin
