Style and clothing are not the only ways that men can express themselves. They are also able to express themselves through the hair they grow on their face. Some women find it very attractive when a man has perfectly groomed and sculpted facial hair. There are over a hundred styles of facial hair, but for simplicity sake we will cover those which are worn now on the modern man.

I will be covering six modern styles of facial hair. There are many different ways to wear all of these styles. The six styles of facial hair that will be covered are just a broad overview.

1)The first and most well know form of facial hair is the full beard. This is when you completely grow all the hair on the face: sides, chin, and upper lip. The full beard has many variations. Beards can be grown long or clip short, regular moustache or styled. The common stereotypes of beards on men are woodsmen that just don't have time to shave, but you regularly see business men with nicely manicured beards and it looks quite sharp.

2)Another form of facial hair seen on the youth of today is the chinstrap. This is a beard which runs along the jaw line. The chinstrap is characteristically very thin. This form of facial hair accentuates the jaw line. If you have a pronounced jaw line, this type of style is for you.

3)Next we will move onto the moustache. This form of facial hair has dozens of styles. Many were worn centuries ago and are no longer in style. But there is one which is still worn today. That is the chevron moustache. This is just a thick mustache that is worn long to cover the entire upper lip.

4)Sideburns are worn by a lot of men. Sideburns are the hairs that grow don't the sides of a man's face. Much of the time men wear side burns with other forms of facial air. Whether just clipped short or extra long most men sport sideburns.

5)The goatee has countless variation. The goatee is hair covering the chin. Some classify this style as the goatee moustache mix. Either way it can be worn long or short and give a person a completely different look.

6)Finally is the soul patch. This is a small patch of hair right underneath the bottom lip. This is worn by many different men from young to old.

These are just a few of many styles of facial hair. If we listed all the types throughout history there would be hundreds. By changing ones facial hair you can change your style completely.
