The Braun Smart Control 4775 Razor has been a hygiene revolution for my boyfriend, Chris. After making a Christmas present of a Braun Smart Control Razor, he's been singing its praises ever since and, in all honesty, his complexion has never been better. Chris has what you would call a "dark beard." Little did I know until I got him the Braun, but disposable and other electric razors always made things a bit more time consuming and difficult for him. To get a really close shave, he would have to resort to a wet shave that could take a serious chunk out of his morning before work. If he didn't do this, he would look a little like a, shall we say, European of sorts. After his Braun Smart Control 4775 Razor, I found him running out the door with a smile on his clean shaven face and a "thank you" as he went by. I'm a bit proud of myself, actually.

CUTTING SYSTEM

1) A three stage cutting system (or so I read on the box) on spring mounted blades cuts his beard progressively closer to the skin to give him that really clean cut. I've found this to be an interesting procedure, but the results are undeniable. Not only does he get the same shave as a disposable, scoring equally upon personal scrutiny, but he can shave in a fraction of the time. This was the biggest feature that he appreciated; getting in and out of the bathroom and out the door that much quicker.

2) The Braun smart foils catch the beard in all directions of growth, essentially taking care of that odd spot under his chin where the hair grows on a different angle from the rest of his beard. The Braun Smart Control Razor gets everything.

3) A precision trimmer seems to be really good for straightening up his sideburns and those odd hairs on the back of his neck. I'm the one who seems to use that more; having to grab him once in a while to cut some definition into his unkempt choice of mop. Men.

EASY CLEANING

I found out about the easy cleaning' feature when I started finding stubble in the sink. Apparently the head pops off and the whole thing can be cleaned under some running water. I'd appreciate this feature more if Braun included in the instructions; "clean up sink afterwards so your girlfriend doesn't clean the toilet with your toothbrush."

RECHARGABLE BATTERY

A nice and efficient rechargeable battery is included in the Braun Smart Control Razor that can last forty minutes on a single charge. It even includes a five minute quick charge' for when he forgets, and he will forget, to recharge it after he's done. All in all, a very nice contribution to what has been a fantastic electric razor.
