If you are looking for a diverse vacation paradise, then Jamaica is your travel destination. Spanning over 4,400 square miles, Jamaica is the largest English-speaking Island in the Caribbean. The people are warm and friendly, welcoming visitors with their smiles and their hospitality.

To appreciate Jamaica's diversity, you must start with its history. Originally settled by the Spanish and then ruled by the British, the roots of this nation are from all parts of the globe. Most of the population's ancestry derives from slaves brought from Africa to work the sugar plantations however; others such as the Irish, Indians and Chinese have also left their mark.

Many popular spots to visit on the island include the Duns River Falls tours, the sparkling beaches of Nigril and Montego Bay and the historical center that is found in Kingston, the country's capital. In addition, there are lively clubs, fine restaurants and world class golf.

Music is always a big part of the island culture. Many styles such as roots, rock, reggae or reggae ton can be heard in the streets, clubs and grand plazas of Kingston. Also, the Tuff gong and Bob Marley Museum is open to those who wish to further explore Jamaica's musical heritage.

If your desire is to experience Jamaica's quieter side, there are the quaint finishing villages of Port Antonio, Treasure Beach and Oracabessa. Here the street markets offer the daily catch plus deliquesces such as ackee, yam and breadfruit. In addition, do not forget to pick up some of the island's special Kulu Kulu rum.

So come experience the "Irie mon" that is Jamaica. Here everything is going good with no worries or concerns. From the crystal clear waters to the soft tropical climate, there is something here for everyone. Enjoy the fine restaurants and luxury resorts as the sound of reggae fills the air.
