Are you really 'roughing' it with camping, or are you just sleeping in a tent?

Getting Use to swimming wist Sharks!

Before I started night diving, I was not scared of sharks when surfing.. I Had no fear and thought sharks where rare..

Of course Now that I know how many sharks are out there, and how much they love murky water, and the fact that when good waves come in the winter, the water is a jade green murky color.. scary shiz...

The first time I went night diving was about 3 years ago.. I had been wanting to go get lobster "My fav food" For years but just had no lights and no chances..

So one day I go get me a new set of lights and what have you , and I decide we are going diving tonight.. Had my dad talked into going with me so I dont have to go alone.. Now from daydreaming about it, did not seem so scary.. I had been in the ocean a LOT in the day time so night should be nothin but a thing;)

So by 9:pm My dad is drunk and not even safe for the water.. So Im all about ," screw it"! I decided to go anyway..

I gear up and now that it is dark the ocean looks scary.. I am alone and I jumped into the water.. Took me about 4 minutes to find a HUGE Spiny lobster.. I was stoked and hookt on the night dives..

Of course the first time I saw a tiger shark, I was not following rules.. My hawaiian friends had told me rules, Never dive alone, Never carry the fish bag with you , and dont kill fish till just before you plan to get out the water.. Well I went against all thous rules and saw a tiger, it was close enough to touch.. I scared it more than It scared me..

The next 3 dives I had close encounters with sharks.. All close enough to touch me and One tried to Bite me.

I was trying to talk my friend john into going on his first night dive.. He kept talking about how we are going to die and hes going to get attacked by a shark.. I told him, hes not lucky enough to see a shark on his very first night dive and How Im not Unlucky enough to see a shark 4 times in a row on night dives.. So dont worry, Sharks are rare.. Knock on wood..

So I have my hands full of lobster bag, spear, knife, flashlights.. And Im trying to get lobsters to, So I hand all my stuff to john but my light.. And I am diving for bugs and I hear my dads voice from shore say, "You guys are getting kind of far apart yea" And I look up and see johns light about 40 feet from me.. Well he has my spear and knife so then I think "It is a good time to runinto a shark" Just then in the tip of my beem I see a big square nose.. Which means tiger shark.. I think OMG, Im going to die, Then I notice a white
