Poetry: Suicidal thoughts

by Mariana Somerset

Created on: August 19, 2008

Sitting in the pew
Begging for forgiveness
Weeping tears of failure
Questioning his fate

Waiting for an answer
Counting down his days
Pondering his worth
Wondering what to do

Striving for guidance
Wishing things would change
Searching for his soul
Longing for a heart

Walking through the church
Heading out the door
Giving up on life
Leaving everything behind

Standing on the edge
Gazing upward at the sky
Muttering one last prayer
Crossing that fine line
