You are the Author of my faith.
You write the story of my life in the greatest ink.
You need no pencil because you make no mistakes.
I run to you when I can't take it anymore.
I call out your name when the weight of the world
is too much for my shoulders to bear.
Then you remind me that I needn't bear the burden alone-
if I cast it upon the cross, You will take away my heavy load.
You will take away my guilt and shame, my fear and pain.
You will guard my heart and hold me up when I am weak.
You'll be there for me so I don't have to stand alone.
I always have Someone to count on, Someone to rely on.
You will not leave me out in the cold.
I will never hunger nor thirst with You by my side.
And I shall never truly die.
You've taken hold of me and You will never let me go.
I will never be lonely again.
You will wipe away my tears when life knocks me down.
And You will help me get up and stand on my two feet again.
I will be stronger and wiser than ever before.
I will never have to fight alone.
I will never again suffer on my own.
I have my God, my Creator, my Rock, my Father,
my Strength, and my Shield on my side.
You are all that I am; You are my everything.
