Pizza is a yummy treat for all ages. There are many different ways to make it and lots of toppings that will improve the flavor. For many folks, the same old stuff can get boring though. So, why not try a few new ideas? It doesn't have to be a traditional pizza to be delicious!

Children are picky eaters and they enjoy certain items more than they do others. I doubt that there is a child alive that will be able to resist this yummy twist on a traditional pizza. In fact, it is so simple to make that they can even help you out in the kitchen!

~Pizza Casserole Surprise~

You will need:

A 12-ounce box of macaroni and cheese dinner
1 pound of ground beef
1 medium green pepper
1 small onion
An 8-ounce jar of pizza sauce
cup of shredded mixed cheese

Prepare the macaroni and cheese according to the directions on the package. One it is completely cooked and ready to eat spread it in a baking dish.

Brown meat, pepper, and onion in a pan on warm heat until it is cooked thoroughly. Drain the grease from it and stir in the spaghetti sauce.

Spoon this mixture over top pf the macaroni. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake in a 375 degrees oven for 20 minutes. Let cool and serve with a smile!

For those who want something outside of the ordinary, why not try a pizza pocket? It's the same thing as pizza, it just has pour bread and everything is tucked conveniently inside.

~Pizza Pocket Pals~

You will need:

12 dinner rolls
10-ounce can of chicken
8-ounce package of pepperonis
1 cup of mixed shredded cheese
cup of Parmesan cheese
cup sliced mushrooms
cup sliced green onions
cup fat free sour cream
1 pinch of garlic powder, sage, and pepper
1 beaten egg

Combine two rolls together and roll into a rectangle to make a pocket. Set to the side.

Mix all of your other ingredients together (minus the egg). Use about a cup of the mix in to each rectangle. Moisten the sides of the bread with a slight amount of water. Bring the ends up over the filling and pinch tightly to seal.

Place each triangle on a lightly sprayed baking sheet. Brush each triangle with egg. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

Let stand for a few minutes so that they can cool. Be cautious when taking the first bite. The filling will be hot but too delicious that you will care much!

You can add more of the ingredients that you like or double the recipe to make more. There are lots of fun pizza recipes that go outside the realm of original. Experiment with new things and you will be glad that you did!
