Full Moon Fling
The fire reflecting in your eyes
was not a good enough disguise.
You didn't know just who I was
so I laughed, I laughed
I laughed because:
I do, I do,
I do, like you.
I do, I do,
I do, like you.
We woke up to a sunny day,
The grass was wet though, anyway.
I looked at you,
you looked at me,
we both got up to take a pee.
And I do, I do,
I do, like you.
Oh I do, I do,
I do, like you.
You gave me your number, you drew it in pen,
on a Cumby's matchbook you got from a friend.
I jotted it down inside my phone,
I knew right then I'd never be alone.
cuz I do, I do,
I do, like you.
I do, I do,
I do, like you.
The river was cold but the rocks were warm
as we all caught up on our sleep.
You put your hand over my world
and my heart was yours to keep.
Oh I do, I do,
I do, like you.
Oh I do, I do,
I do, like you.
My eyes pretend to be rainbow trout
when you look at them under water.
Your eyes are brown, when you swim around,
You kind of look like an otter.
And that's why I do,
I do, I do, like you.
Oh I do, I do,
I do, like you.
We should have known better than to fall in love,
but the full moon is funny that way.
The evening sky meant we'd say goodbye,
but we'll meet again someday.
Because I do, I do,
I do, like you.
Oh I do, I do,
I do, like you.
And you like me too
