Did you ever read something truly great and wished you had written it? Me ,too.

My children and I, we absolutely adore his books. "How the
Grinch Stole Christmas" is read in our house every other month.
There is something about the story that is heart-warming and unorthodox
about the whole Christmas idea. We are so used to the themes of Father
Chistmas being jolly and the elves, and the bags of presents that we

sometimes forget about the main reason we celebrate Christmas, the good
in all of us.

It isn't just the idea of the poem that is catchy. The rhyme and the
choice of words, everything is put together with the great skill. So after
third or fourth time you can recite the whole thing pretty easily.

The Grinch is a grumpy green creature that lives up in the mountain not
far from the village of Whoville. He is miserable and lonely, his only
friend is dog Max. He hates Christmas and tries to stop it his way. He
comes out with the plan that if he takes all christmassy things away from
the people who live in the village,he will make tham all unhappy and
Christmas will not arrive.

He dresses up as Father Chrismas and sneaks into every Who's home. He
is well prepared to steal all the presents and decorations, and even
the festive food. The Grinch is convinced that this is what Christmas
is about:lots of eating and presents.

He has a narrow escape when he is nearly caught at his wrong - doing by
a little girl,Cindy-Lou Who.She is just two, and woke up for a little
drink when she saw Father Christmas-Grinch stealing their Christmas
tree. But the crafty Grinch tricked the poor child when he said he
needed to take the tree to his workshop the make the light work.
So, by the end of the night the Grinch emptied every single house in
Whoville and dragged the lot "to the top of Mt.Crumpit to dump it".
He is happy now, gloating and thinking that the whole festive season is
ruined for the people. But suddenly,he hears the singing, and the Grinch
is confused. He didn't realise that Christmas for the villagers doesn't
come from the shop, it is something you have in you and share with
everybody else.

And something stirs in the dark Grinchy soul and he doesn't want to stay
alone and riun all the lovely thing he stole from the people. So he decided
to give it all back.
He is so taken aback that in the end he joins in the singing and
even, carves the meat for the feast.

This story is an absolute wonder!
