What if I had gone Down a different path.
Down a road that lies
Only in my past.
Who would I be
Now that it's too late.
Where would I be
Had I tempted fate?
Useless questions
I ask and wonder.
The answers allude me
As I sit and ponder.
My clearest thoughts
Only show the strife
Caused by letting fear
take control of my life.
I lacked the courage
To take some chances
To believe in myself
And the gifts God granted.
I chose to take comfort
In the familiar road
And pass opportunities
To mature and grow.
So there I sat
Day after day.
Doing the mundane
As my life wasted away.
