Wisping through the air daggerfalls of rain
Whisper down my window in cool ripples
Undulating lines, all blue and simple
A memory or watercolor stain
Much in the same way do I think of you
Like an old picture seen through stippled glass.
A transient, something that just can't last
Yet always do I return to the blue
The word handsome is an understatement
And beauty is too soft to truly fit
For both are too common as to forget
What your combination of features meant
To one who falls as easily as I
It's little wonder that you passed me by.
