Dale was unprepared for what happened next. The world fell out from under him and was replaced by darkness. He screamed out of fear and then found he couldn't breathe. If he would have stayed in that darkness, that limbo for one more moment, he believed he would have died. But before his death, he regained his breath and was able to scream again. A speck of light was below him and he stopped screaming to look down. The world rushed up to meet him. He wanted to scream again, but was lucky he didn't. He found himself in a city, standing in the middle of a cobblestone street.
Dale quickly searched for Tara but could not find her. Tara was his guide and they were supposed to come into this world together. Dale found a pretty woman and began to dance with her. Someone offered him a cup of something that smelled similar to beer. He took a drink and was delighted to find it tasted like beer too! After a few more drinks and a couple more dances, Dale was beginning to forget why he was there. Anytime anyone tried to speak to him he just smiled and laughed and move on. There were hundreds of people and they all just smiled and laughed with him.
He was just about to start dancing with another girl when he turned around and ran into some feet with his face. He started to laugh, his natural response in this happy world, but then he looked up. He sobered instantly when he saw the feet he had run into where the feet of Tara, hanging from a hangman's noose. He screamed and fell backward. Instantly, the happy faces that he had seen before were angry now. He was grabbed and hauled to his feet. The people began to shout and scream things at him in angry voices. Dale caught one more
