This would be a nice one for readers to judge if Friday the 13th is a day of bad luck or not really. I was born on a Friday, 13th of August, 1954. Now please don't read the next sentences to this before guessing if it was a bad day or not. It would not be on me because I am normal and writing this article now. Yes, you might have guessed by now on how that day was for my parents, brothers and sisters.

I was told that on my birth, my father got a big pay hike and bought a brand new car. Not just a standard brand new car but, I believe, it was one of the first model of cars, a Chevrolet in 1954, that's called a fastback.

For our family, in total, it was a very good day because everyone will be benefiting from what fortune that day gave. At this point, we all could say that it was not a bad Friday the 13th. The issue I will be raising next is, what is it to me to be born on a Friday the 13th? It seems to have been stamped on my forehead ever since I learned I was born on that day! But, I was hardly conscious about it and not even cross my mind until I encounter something unfortunate. That is often the question I ask of myself, is that the effect on me being born on that date? There were a couple of friends who knew how to toy with numerology. One time, they got curious with me and asked about my birth date along with my full name. They came up with several numbers and did some additions and subtractions. They came up with some final set of numbers and sort of referred it to a chart. The summary, after going through the chart, says everything seems alright except for the number 13! I can't recall if Friday was included.

The numerology results did not matter much to me. What I had to myself was what if other animals were born on the same date? It just so happened that people are intelligent beings who put those numbers and dates. Also, if for the sake of numbers we would consider the month that I was born which is the 8th month and I also happened to be the 8th surviving child, would that not have equalized Friday and 13?

To conclude this, Friday the 13th is not bad at all. There are just some coincidences that happen on that date that people take particular note of and unmindful of the other days and dates in a year. For me, if more than 50% of all people in the world have misfortune in a single day, then that's a bad day.
