How to make homemade aromatherapy bath salts

Aroma therapy, as the name suggests is an alternative medication procedure which utilizes natural oils derived from plants and flowers to cure physical ailments.
It not only cures but also ensures physical well being and rejuvenation.
Its not hard to find shelves lined with aroma therapy oils, bath salts, lotions , bath gels etc, but all these come at a premium rate especially because these products are of natural origin.

However the basis of aromatherapy is essential oils. Each of these oils are derived from some plant/herb or flower and each of them have unique properties and can be used for particular ailments. Sometimes certain oils are mixed in a particular ratio and this concoction can be used for various purposes.
These oils are very strong in odor and are highly concentrated , so they are generally mixed with ordinary oils such as olive oil, coconut oil and applied at particular parts.

Nothing is as pleasant and rejuvenating as a wonderful bath soak, and with little effort and creativity we can create our own aromatherapy bath salts and why waste your hard earned money on costly branded stuff .
We need to select a particular kind of mineral salt and any essential oil of our choice and presto we have our signature creation.

Ingredients:

1)1 jam/jelly clear wide mouthed jar

2)Any mineral salt such as Epsom salt

3)Food coloring

4)Wooden spoon

5)Ribbon

6)Essential oil say Lavender/sandalwood.

Mix 3 cups of Epsom salt with 5 teaspoonful of any of these essential oil, you can also mix two or three kinds of oils , if you like.

Add a teaspoon of food color to this mixture say purple/pink whichever is appealing to you.

Mix all of these ingredients well and store it in a clean glass jar. Make sure that the jar is made of clear glass.

You can decorate the jar if you like with glitter/paint/ beads. Just unleash your creativity and let the creative juices flow.

Close the lid and tie a bright colored ribbon around the jar mouth.

Punch a small hole and tie a wooden spoon onto it.

And whenever you want to enjoy a spa treatment at the comfort of your home.

Play a soothing music. Light some aromatic candles in the bathroom. Fill the tub with warm water, sprinkle a handful of bath salts, sprinkle some rose petals and step into a heavenly experience at the comfort of your own home without burning a big hole in your pocket!
