How to become a guardian in AdventureQuest without paying

In AdventureQuest, there is no legal way within the game to gain Guardianship or access Guardian-only content without paying $19.99. If you hack into AdventureQuest, you will either be banned or placed in the Cheaters/Abusers/Time Wasters clan. There are also items you can only get through cheating, such as Steal Plate or Glamdung, neither of which you want to be saddled with. Don't hack. Don't be like this guy from the AdventureQuest forums:

"HELLO i am in CAT clan does it hurts gold/xp cap for a day somehow please reply someone it would be best to hear the answer form a moderator thanks for reading :s"

You also cannot become a Guardian if you are caught begging, soliciting, or otherwise asking for Guardianship. Begging is not just heavily frowned upon in AdventureQuest, it's not permitted at all. Even if you do manage to get an account out of it, if someone catches you doing this, your account will probably either be flagged to the Cheaters/Abusers/Time Wasters clan or outright disabled. So don't do this, either.

Why is Artix Entertainent, the developer of AdventureQuest, so strict about this? Because whether you agree with it or not, you must pay at least a one-time fee of $19.99 to access premium content. That's how they're able to keep publishing free content. You may find this unfair on the grounds that it's a single-player game and you should therefore be able to do what you want with your character. While this would be true in most cases, it doesn't apply here because you do need to log into an account (albeit a free one) to play. Again, you might find this to be a bad decision as not everyone is out there to get their character into some high score list. But the bottom line is this: If you're willing to play their game, you need to follow their rules.

One other thing: If you're a writer on Helium and are thinking of showing people where to find hacking tools of any kind for AdventureQuest, don't. Helium also cracks down on any articles with illegal content, including using hacking tools to access content you'd otherwise need to purchase. Hacking tools that don't deal with paid content, while technically legal, are in violation of AdventureQuest Terms and Conditions Rule 4.g. In particular: "You agree not to cheat, hack or make any attack on the server in any way." That's why this article doesn't even suggest where to look for those tools.

Don't hack AdventureQuest or help someone else do it. It's not worth it.
