There are not alot the fed can do related to fixing the economy because the united states federal system is not engineered in that fashion. Economic policy in the united states is one that takes time and it has proven thruth that this way works the best. But this small depression is different from the ones that they have gone through in the past for the simple reasons that we are no longer the superpower of the world relating to imports and exports. China has taken our spot, with their county focused on increased growth through the year this will lead to a increase of competion through the world. Never in the history of the united states has the federal government been under extreme stress to remove us from this great depression. The history of the united states will play a big role in our recovery. Are we going to use outdated policies or are new tactics going to be used to sponsor growth througut the world. I do not believe that the united states will recover this soon it will take another presidential term for things to go back to normal and when they do it will be out homecomming, because we have slowly but surely have been losing our grip on the world's economy. So i want to make something clear. I am a realist and i believe that the united states will never return to its glory as the only super power throughout the world but we have to hope that our economy and our security is guaranteed throughout the world. we cannot focus on out economic policy when we are dealing with a war that if we dont end it soon it will come home and alot more casualties will occur. therefore what are we to do. stand and wait for recovery or make it happen? as Americans we belive that taking the steps necessary to succeed is the the root of our great dominance throughout the world. Financial policy will come with accordance with the times we are not ready to focus exclusively on our financial policy but that will soon change once a new president takes the healm of the precedency. The feds have one thing in mind and that is even out the dollar so we are returned to the glory day. Our national debt is one that is going to keep increasing if we keep doing nothing. To close of the topic i want to say that interest rates do not help the poor only the rich because the interest rates low high wealth people could borrow more money to support their lavish lifestyle. what are we to do continue to feed our addiction to money or stop the cycle cold on its tracks.
