What She Wouldn't Give
She received her fourth rejection from when she applied for food stamps the other day
She wonders how she will get by.
Will there ever be any other way?
She sits and cries and wonders if there is some grand plan in all of this?
As she looks out of the window watching her kids.
What she wouldn't give
If she could someday go on a date
What she wouldn't give
If someone would just give her a break
What she wouldn't give
To have someone on which she could hold
What she wouldn't give if this whole situation wasn't getting old.
What she wouldn't give
She looked inside her cabinets and knows she is down to her last can
Regardless of where she's called she just can't get a helping hand.
It looks like she'll skip another meal so her kids can have something to eat.
It looks like her stomach will hurt tonight and she'll again cry herself to sleep.
What she wouldn't give
If her faith would just hold strong
What she wouldn't give
To end this pain that's gone on too long
What she wouldn't give
To be able to buy herself something new
What she wouldn't give for just a dollar or two.
What she wouldn't give.
Yes times are tough and that she can't deny
But she knows that Jesus holds her hand no matter daytime or night.
She's strong and that she knows helps her to get by
She's strong even though sometimes she cries.
What she wouldn't give
If her prayers would just be heard
What she wouldn't give
If she had a Bible to read God's word.
What she wouldn't give to not always be so unsure
What she wouldn't give
If she wouldn't go to bed hungry tonight
What she wouldn't give
If someone would just believe her plight
What she wouldn't give
If her kids had more than this
What she wouldn't give for someone to take her away from all of this
What she wouldn't give.

NEVER GIVE UP
Never give up my grandpa said
I thought it was something he read
But as years past I came to know
That what
From the greatest to the unknown
Giving up has never been an option.
Fight if you must
Work through the pain
Use might
Grit
Come on, you can do it
Just keep moving forward, you’ll find your way through it
Obstacles will always be in the way
