Eyebrow shaping: The art of threading

Women from every culture are conscious of their looks, and they toil hard to accentuate their features and hide every visible flaw. Eyebrows form a very important aspect of our face, and a badly shaped eyebrow might completely ruin the overall expression of a face.In fact if eyebrows is removed completely it might be difficult to recognize a person, and that's what many criminals do when they were in hiding.

A well shaped eyebrow in fact accentuates your features and makes us look well groomed.Though waxing, bleaching and depilatory techniques have become very common but threading is an inexpensive technique which originated in Asia specifically in India, China and some part of middle east.
A cotton thread is twisted in double loops and is held between the teeth and the two ends are held between the fingers and with slight motion the unwanted strand of hair is pulled out.Though its pains a little, but it all depends on your level of skill, an expert might pull off the strand without even slightest pain. You can experiment with the shape, by removing an arch , making it thinner/thicker and matching it to your face time. The simplest rule is using a brow pencil, from the corner of your eyes try to get a natural arch.Place the tip of the pencil at the start of the brow and the other end resting on the tip of your nose try to draw a line over the brow and see how far it extends. If your brows are short you might want to use a brow pencil after threading . It also depends on the present trend , as sometimes thin arched brows are in fashion , and sometimes thick parallel brows are in fashion.

Waxing and depilatory creams might cause reactions if you have a sensitive skin and might even give rise to wrinkles, but threading leads to temporary redness and swelling which goes off in few hours.
A dab of ice cube is sufficient to ease off this redness.
Threading pulls out the hair from its follicles and though threading leads to early regrowth of hair it gives a much cleaner look as sometimes even the forehead is threaded . Moreover threading is much inexpensive as all you need is a cotton thread and skillful hands and that's the reason anyone can do it at the comfort of their home without a complete salon setting. However we should make sure that we should go to an expert and not try it at home as a novice as this skill takes time to grow.So next time if you plan to go for waxing, just change your mind and head for an Indian/Chinese salon and so without burning a hole in your pocket you might get a clean flawless look on your face.
