Are online daters real couples? If the couple went through a normal and healthy dating process, patiently developing and nurturing the relationship by communication, being flexible and selflessness I might be inclined to think that yes, some online daters are real couples. The Internet is another possible place real people can meet, get to know each other and see how things progress from there. I'm not so sure online dating is the best choice of words to describe the process of looking for or finding that certain someone. As we run out of decent and healthy environments to meet people in person, online is just another such venue. Considering that so many of us are somehow connected online all day, available by email, chat, webcam and etc, meeting another person is very feasible. There are so many different and tailored websites a person can join that can really be specific as to your particular characteristics and interests. It can be a safer and healthier place than say the swinging singles bar if you go about it in a careful manner.

If you are tired of this scene maybe checkout some websites instead. You can do a Google search to see what is out there; say on Christian, Italian, Republican, IT professionals and so on. The possible websites are nearly endless and the net you are casting can be so much broader than say your actual available and single population where you live. Keeping in contact once you have meet someone of interest does not have to be difficult either. If you seem to hit it off straight away you can always pick up the phone and talk at greater length, stick to emailing, chatting or just posting comments in a blog. Meeting someone online can be a great practice of the old art of communication. In this way the relationship may take on a deeper meaning in the sense that it is more than just physical, as you have probably not physically met and instead you just get to know each other better through actual dialogue. No one night stands is a real positive.

One of the important aspects of a relationship is honesty and trust. The same could be said or asked about the website you are looking for that right person on. Is it reputable, what kind of screening process does it have and is it a paid membership website? Sometimes a person that has to pay an actual membership may be less inclined to be a fake or a flake. Use your best judgment and keep your wits about you. Going about the entire process slowly, trusting, but verifying and proceeding with caution could be some sane advice to follow. If you truly know what you are looking for, stick to those guidelines and play it smart you just may hit the jackpot and find your true love. Just look at the popularity of myHarmony.com and etc. People are busy and maybe bummed out with the bar scene, so, online dating sites might just be a good way to go about your search. By finding your niche, weeding out the good ones from the bad and taking things slowly you can better your odds. And you can do all this from the comfort of your own home. No need to get all dolled up and go out on a nerve-raking blind date. Maybe you may have to put on some lipstick, comb your hair and open your web cam instead, but you may actually save money and face this way. And if you think this person isn't for you, simply x out of your chat and viola, another one bites the dust.

If you ask me, technological advances that can simplify dating or meeting the person of your dreams is a very good thing. Use it wisely, safely, cross your fingers and see what happens. The world is your oyster and best of luck in your pursuit of true love and happiness.
