Create your unforgettable evening with a splash of color and scent.

Red is the color of passion, which is why it is associated with the deepest, most personal expressions of love on Valentine's Day. It creates emotional heat and revs up the mind's activity.

Choose the room where your evening will be staged and drape it with red fabrics, like sari fabrics, velvets, and chenille throws. Vary the hues and then add gold accents to create an even greater air of luxury and comfort. Add large throw pillows and bolsters for comfort.

Burn cinnamon and strawberry scented incense or oils to treat the air with scent that will raise the heart rate and make the skin flush ever so slightly. Add red candles surrounded with semi-precious gems or glass beads that will sparkle in the low light as you massage Sweet Almond Oil into each others tired flesh. Add essential oils like lavender and rosemary, or clary sage if you are extremely brave.

If your main event will take place on the floor in front of the fire place, provide thick padding in the form of inexpensive quilts and comforters, then add a low table where you can set the items for a luscious, decadent feast laced with chocolates, cinnamon, truffles, caviar, and other items reserved for kings and queens. Feed each other with your fingers, no eating utensils allowed, so the stickier the food, the better the effect.
