Staying healthy:
The basics:
Drink plenty of water. The recommended dosage is 8 glasses a day, but I know of only a few people who can actually pull this off daily. The rule of thumb is to drink plenty of water for hydration sake, but also because water acts as a food suppressant. You will not have as many hunger pains by drinking adequate amounts of water.
Next, take in less calories than you burn off daily is good advice. Eat 10 thousand callories in one daily intake with little or no exercise at all and you'll not have to look for your weight, it will be sitting right behind you.
Take whole food supplemental vitamins. Select what supplements you need most. For example, there are healthy vitamins to give you more energy, stamina, mental focus, weight control, etc. Make the process of staying healthy easier with daily intake of these types of vitamins.
Some exercise is needed regardless of age. Try the minimum... walk for 30 minutes three days a week. I recommend finding a hobby that requires exercise. The tread mill in your home sometimes is avoided like the plaque because work and sweat are associated with every mile run on this contraption.
To get the best results in staying healthy, try engaging in a sport like martial arts or tennis. This way you're exercising in a fun fashion without the conscious thought of getting or staying in shape.
Play a couple of sets of tennis, walk a few times a week, practice martial arts or what ever sport you choose for about an hour three times a week. Watch how much you eat, drink plenty of water with your daily intake of whole food vitamins and your health will take care of itself.
