A thousand times I fail,
Yet You choose to forgive.
A slap in the face,
Yet You still smile, though sadly.
Your love is beyond any
Fathomable thing in and
Beyond the world.
It can never be understood.
I come to You again,
Broken, head bowed to the floor,
Ashamed of my failure again,
Expecting deserved punishment.
Yet somehow You gently lay
Your hand on my shoulder and
Say those confusing words again:
"I love you. I forgive you."
I'll never know how, and
I'll never know why.
All I can do is thank You
And turn back to You... Again...
