I remember when we started it,
that road of ups and downs.
We laughed and cried
and hoped for the best.
It was all we could do.
And sometimes there were obstacles,
but you always found a way.
We'd go up or down or far around,
and we'd wave as we passed it by.
We were happy on this road of ours
that stretched far past what we knew.
Until one day we reached something
that we couldn't find a way through.
We searched and searched, for a path around,
for some street that led us up or down.
And in the end when you found a way,
there was room for only you.
You found a way,
a way to get past,
but I was left alone.
And now I'm stuck here, without a way to get home.
You found a way,
and I'm glad of that,
but will you ever come back for me?

Poetry: You found a way
by Shakia Shine
You warmed my spirit with a simple touch of love
You touched my heart with a few kinds words
I was broken when you pulled
by Greg Wyant
You found a way to renew my soul,
my dreams, nothing is what it seems.
Love was lost but now it has been found,
my two feet
Sister, sister do not cry
Do not stop to ponder why
Look at all you have lived through
Despite the harm that was done to you
Step
by Hanna Joseff
You found a way towards everything
Journeying through life, pebbled with directions
Amongst the many things in your life
The heart beats and pounds in my ears
breaking the silence within my mind
sleek thoughts as faint as the days last luminescence
