There is no one correct answer to what the best part of owning your own business is. With so many different types of people who work from home or who work for themselves and with so many different types of companies, it's impossible to name that one thing that makes owning your own business amazing.

For some business owners, they simply enjoy knowing they are providing for themselves and their families. For some, it's stressful to know that they only have a job until someone says otherwise. Being at the mercy of lay offs and downsizing can create stress and make working for someone else nearly impossible for some. Those who want to own their own business and believe this is the best reason to own one, find this to be one of the best perks they receive. They are responsible for the success or downfall of their own business and at no time can someone come in and state that they aren't needed any longer. It gives them a sense of satisfaction and relief knowing they have stability.

For others, the best benefit of owning their own business is that they get to create their own work hours. For single parents, or for individuals who have other jobs, having the ability to work 2 hours a day or start work at midnight is the best part of owning their own business. This flexible scheduling gives them time to pick their children up from daycare, work around their children's softball games, or even take a family vacation any time the need arises. Flexible scheduling can open up an individual's life and many value the extra time it gives them with their loved ones.

For those who are like me, the best part of owning my own business is the day to day change and excitement it brings. I get the thrill of waking up each morning and knowing that I'm responsible for all aspects of my business and not knowing what the day will bring. If I make a wrong decision, I have to learn from it as there is no one else to handle it, and if I make the right decision and at the end of the year I've made a profit, I get to know that I did it all on my own and take satisfaction in that.

Everyone is different and every one decides to start and open their own business for many different reasons. Whether they just need to get away from their boss, or have always dreamed of owning their own balloon company, from just loving to experiment to needing stability that they can only provide, owning your own business is exciting and a wonderful opportunity for all that pursue it.
