How to make home made jam

by Lily Grace

The Easiest Blueberry Jam

I got this recipe in a sugar free cookbook. It's so simple, which is perfect if you've got a bunch of blueberries and want to preserve them. All you need is blueberries. Yup, nothing else.

Put 2 cups of blueberries for a small jar, in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Pour blueberries into a pot and bring to a boil.

Once the blueberries are boiling reduce to medium heat and stir.

Stir every once in a while to prevent burning and continue to cook until desired thickness. I let mine get fairly thick, but don't worry if it's not the consistency of jam. It thickens even more once it is removed from the heat.

Once it has reached desired thickness, pour into jar and let it cool. If, doing this as preserves, follow canning instructions for jam. I was going to start using it right away, so I reused a jar I had cleaned.

Once cool, close the jar lid and pop in the fridge.

That's all and it is amazingly sweet. So definitely no need for sugar!
