Poetry is
raw emotion -
a stream of thoughts
meant to convey
pure passion.
Poetry is
a means of escape
from a bitter reality,
a method of self-expression
when the world has strangled your voice.
Poetry is
the embodiment
of beauty, creativity, and freedom.
You can follow a pattern
and enhance the original.
You can stray into unknown territory
and mark a path all your own.
Poetry is poetry.
Giving it a compressed definition
would defy its very essence
and put limits on its vast potential.
Poetry is anything.
Poetry is poetry.
