Every year I go to a lot of trouble to plant a garden. I weed the area, fertilize it with composted manure from our horses, cover the soil with plastic and plant all my little seedlings. I then religiously water it and pull stray weeds that manage to sneak in. I always seem to end up with lots of beautiful plants that are overgrown and leggy because halfway through the summer I get tied up with work and just don't have the time to tend to my garden. This year I said "No, I'm not doing a garden. I won't wait the time just to have it all go to weeds again." So I didn't plant my garden. Yesterday I walked past my defunct garden site and was feeding my chickens and saw a strange plant next to the coop. I went over to take a closer look and there was a tomato plant growing! The year I decide not to have a garden, the plants decide to grow themselves anyway!
