At this current time the word 'Democracy'gets used quite a lot especially when certain countries invade each other.But as a young Blackman watching news when I was younger I didnt really know what the word really meant.Most of us know the dictionary meaning of the word (democracy-a voting system for a future goverment by the people for the people).But what you will find if you look at'democracy'comprehensively is that the term is often misused.We who live in the UK know how the democratic voting system works in this country,mostly in a positive way.Well at least when it comes to the voting part it's done in a fair way.So I shall have a quick look at the word 'democracy'and its effect on the indigenous,indigent and indignant people of various countries.

First lets look at how over the last century various iconic images have been used to highlight various struggles for democracy and similar causes. From Ghandi,Che Guevara,Muhammad Ali, to Nelson Mandela all these icons and more have been used to highlight the plight of many countries. Indigenous people have in some countries struggled to get equality and fair rights when it has come to picking their future goverments.So sometimes they have relied on and have been encouraged by various icons,popstars and film stars to help highlight their causes.

The introduction off media in modern day plays a huge part in how people vote for future goverments in a lot of countries.In modern day voting when election time is nearing we all have our various local candidates on television or in the local paper trying to solicit our votes.The media can be very important when it comes to how certain goverments are seen by their countries and outside word.The fact that there has been alot of wars in the name of democracy shows how important it is and the role the media plays.Unfortunately the media as well as been used positively can be and has been used to manipulate people of various countries into beleiving what isn't always true.Because of these various factors and introduction of modern media we ware more aware of the good and bad points of democracy.

The Good points of democracy if done properly lets the masses of people know and realize they cannot be ommitted from the proceedings of any future goverment.Democracy can also help teach the next generation of fair and just voting system which can be used in classrooms.Democracy is one of many ways of choosing a righteous and conscientious leader, because hopefully the masses will
