The next person I want to see elected to the White House is someone who is entirely different than the "embarrassment" who occupies the office now.
I would like to see someone who will not commit our young men and women to a war, based on lies, deceit and at best, knowingly unreliable information; a so-called "person of faith" in favor of executing our own citizens, or torturing prisoners who have been held without due process.
I would like to see someone who will have a high priority on health care for all our citizens, particularly children, the aged and disabled, rather than relying on the type of lazare-fare economics responsible for other atrocities such as the Irish potato famine.
I would like to see someone who will not have total disregard for The Geneva Convention and would continue the Bush war crimes in order to save face for his political party.
I would like to see someone who will terminate one sided corporate contracts employed to support the war, such as AT&T and others who provide us the services and technology to conduct unlawful eavesdropping activities on law abiding people, including most probably, this article.
I would like to see someone who will not stand idly by, touting his own record, while another candidate for President in his party, whom he supported, lied and trivialized another candidates Silver Star, Bronze Star and 3 Purple Hearts while serving in Viet Nam, particularly while during that time the accusing candidate was home sniffing dope.
I would like to see someone who will replace the massive corporate subsidies with educational subsidies to our citizens in order for them to better compete in a global economy.
I would like to see someone who will not support "No Child Left Behind", which is leaving all the children behind except those who can afford to attend subsidized private schools.
I would like to see someone who will bring our country and its laws back to all the people and for all the people, not just the selected, wealthy few who have bestowed future generations with our greatest financial debt ever.
I would like to see someone who will not be so heartless as to send 12,000,000 people, most of whom are children and families back to their countries of origin because they desperately wanted "hope".
The next person I want to see elected to the White House is a Senator with a solid, consistent record, who was a professor at the University of Chicago, teaching Constitutional Law, a course the current administration should have taken.
