Okay first I have to say that I've never written a song before, poetry yes, songs no. So this may be a little shaky considering it started as a poem and I wanted to have a go at song writing.
My Best Friend
If there's nothing else to lose
Then there's everything to gain
Just because you paint a picture
Doesn't mean it fits the frame.
She joined me on that dark night
When I was lost in time
And when I tasted her white lips
I knew I had to make her mine
When we were together
My life was on defense
You made me let go
So giving up didn't make sense
She took my life
She broke my home
She stole my heart
And I can't let her go
I want her to leave
But I can't say no
She's my best friend
My everything
And I can't let her go
My family said they'd leave me
If my affair didn't end
But the thought of losing her
Was way too much to comprehend
Suddenly at a crossroad
Everything I loved, out of sight
My love for cocaine took that life
But I thought I was alright
I wasted my money
I wasted my whole soul
The coke was just an escape
And I felt I had to go
She took my life
She broke my home
She stole my heart
And I can't let her go
I want her to leave
But I can't say no
She's my best friend
My everything
And I can't let her go
Now I'm waiting at His gates
And I want to be let in
Was my life lived to the fullest
Or was it lived in sins?
And then I finally realized
When I looked into His eyes
That I'd made a grave mistake
Because the coke had lived my life
I lived my life selfishly
With no one else to blame
But the one I thought I truley loved
And her name was cocaine
She took my life
She broke my home
She stole my heart
And I can't let her go
I want her to leave
But I can't say no
She's my best friend
My everything
And I can't let her go
No I can't let her go
How can I let her go
Yeah I can't let her go

How can it BE so?
I can sense the putrid smell,
Of a thousand dead brain cells,
Rotting away as the Ritalin
finally kicks

Twisted Love.
Verse 1:
Your laughter fills the air I breath, your tainted love it hurts.
But without you here, my sweet
This song is off of my 3rd collection of works called, "Empty Hymn", from my solo project called The Heretic. This song
"Silver Spoons"
Here I am again,
Standing above my fainted father.
His left arm is bleeding; a needle is by his side.
My screams
SHOOTING
I reach out and touch the dark.
Cold clammy fingers grab me.
Rigor mortis sets in.
Frozen in this death-like state
