Carlos Tevez would have made an excellent signing for Arsenal. The player helped keep up West Ham in the premiership which cost Sheffield United their relegation place in the Nationwide Championship league. Single handedly he created chances and scored goals that kept West Ham in the premier league that without his efforts West Ham would have been relegated and not Sheffield United.

Tevez is a natural born striker who is strong, athletic and amongst the leading strikers in the premiership. It is his strong presense and superb ability that makes Tevez a great asset for Manchester United. Last season he scored goals and helped create chances for Rooney, Ronaldo and other players of the Manchester United side.

I think that Tevez within Manchester United is not as great as Ronaldo, Drogba of Chelsea as opposing players are perhaps more likely to have a slightly easier time of marking Tevez than perhaps in marking other better forward players in the Premiership.

For Arsenal in particular the long departure of Henry, has left Arsenal football club largely or solely relying on Emmanuel Adebayor. It is this lone striker role that has to be filled by Adebayor that suggests that Arsenal are not in the market to spend money on top quality strikers. I feel that Tevez would have been a great signing for Arsenal though there would be the problem of having a transitional period of a player moving clubs again. Tevez who has dedicated perhaps his best football for Manchester United already is in effect likely to remain at Old Trafford for many more years. Though at Manchester United Dimitar Berbatov of Tottenham, in his move to Old Trafford suggests a surplus number of forwards though all top quality players, paves way for Arsenal and other clubs in having the chance to sign Tevez.

Financially Tevez would cost more money than Arsenal can currently afford due to debt levels that were incurred with building the Emirates stadium. For some reason the manager Arsene Wengers reluctance to spend money on big money transfers also places signing Tevez into doubt. I am sure based on transfer values Tevez would surely be worth in excess of 30 million and as such this level of spending to Arsenal would be a big barrier to overcome.

Overall if Tevez signed for Arsenal the fans would most positively welcome such a move as the striker has proven ability and would combine well with Adebayor, who altough Adebayor scored around 30 goals last season and seems to have a bigger weight on his shoulders this season Tevez would make a significant move in bolstering a one man attack.
