Recipes: Lentil soup with cumin

Lentil soup can be made with a variety of pulses, this is an Indian style tasty lentil soup.
For quick preparation, it requires a pressure cooker.

Ingredients:

-3 cups lentils of your choice
-1 small fist of cumin seeds
-1 small fist of black mustard seeds
-1/2 cup ghee
-1 large onion, chopped
-3 to 4 red chillies
-1/2 cup lemon juice
-1 cup grated carrots
-salt to taste
-1 tablespoon tumeric powder

method:

Wash the lentils throughly, pour the lentils with 3/4 litre of hot water, add salt to taste and tumeric powder. Cook these in the pressure cooker for fifteen minutes until the mixture becomes a soup. Heat another cooking pot for a minute, add ghee and let it heat up until you see little bubble forming. Next add chopped onions, cumin seeds, black mustard seeds and chillies. Fry the onions well until they are burnt. Finally, slowly add the lentil mixture from the pressure cooker.

Warning: Add lentil mixture with a bowl or you can burn yourself when the ghee pressures out.
