You know it's funny how every where I turn I hear about how people are cutting this or that out of their life so they can afford to get by now that prices are rising. Maybe I am a bit to used to having what I want but I get the things I do for a reason, simply because I enjoy them. There are things in life that we splurge on for the convenience of the item or the fact that the item costs more because it works better for us. Why should I have to give those up when there is a way that I can have them? There is always a way to get the things you want if you are willing to go the extra mile to get it. Let me explain what I have discovered recently. Prices are going up, I now home school so our grocery bill was through the roof, and I don't work so we are in a one income household. I had to find a way to either save money, make money, or do both.
I first decided that I would try to make money first so I ventured out into the wonderful world wide web to find a few things to do that were free. If I had the money to pay for a job then I wouldn't need the job. So I signed up for as many of the "take surveys for money" jobs I could find online. I did my part and waited to see how it would go. After the first month you will know which ones to dump and which to keep. Now don't expect to get rich because you won't but when that 25 dollar check comes in that is extra money it sure is nice.
That's when I realized that I would have to do more if I planned to get any where. Not being the type to use coupons I was bit scared at first. Would people question me about my coupons, look at me funny in line, complain because I was taking to long, etc? I was not sure if it would be worth it but hey might as well try it and find out. Right? I did. I bought the Sunday paper and cut out all my coupons. As I was cutting I realized there were some great coupons in there so I went back and bought 6 more papers. After getting them all cut out I went through the coupons and the sale papers to see what I had. Let me tell you, I went to the Shopping center and loaded my cart full! At the check out this poor unsuspecting woman told us she would open her register and check us out so we got in line. Then here I am at the register faithfully handing over the items and letting her know how much they are on sale for at another store so I can get them for that price and she is nice about it. Then all items are checked out I hand over a big stack of coupons. Yep, she looks at me like where did you get
