Solemn silence sheathed my world
Nothing had consoled my woe
Cold wet rain wept callously
Jolting my piteous heart
My tears ran with the rain
Cascading down my cheeks
Yet you lay there peacefully
Seemingly unaware of my anguish
I never envisioned letting you go
To delve into eternal slumber
How selfless you had been
And how selfish I had become
Only my will had seemed to matter
And in realizing this
I brought myself to bid you adieu.

Poetry: Death of a loved one
by Judi B
Heaven Has My Hero Now
Heaven has my hero now,
My life with you is gone.
It's changed in oh, so many ways
But yet continues
"Never"
(In Loving Memory
For my Tattooed Queen)
Taken away before your time,
The debt paid before the crime,
Left but never
The Long Wait
The leaves fell down
Upon the autumn grass;
Frailty in every shade of red...
I sat by the window for a closer
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
Neither sunrise nor sunset that I don't hear your voice
Or miss your laugh
And
Lights shine off in the distance
Nothing but blackness appears
There is resistance
Death whispers in my ear
He talks of a life
