Is there proof that God exists?

springing from a rock at Moses command, and yet God left no proof that He had any part in it.

Did God walk on earth?

Jesus came, in a predicted manner. He claimed to be God. He walked on this earth, and somehow fulfilled hundreds of prophecies, did hundreds of miracles, and yet the scientific proof that He was even here is hard to find. There is no scientific proof that He was actually God. He raised the dead, and then raised Himself from the dead. He was seen after He died, alive and talking with many people. Yet there is no scientific evidence of any of this. He fed 5000 people with a little fish and bread, but where is the evidence? In Jesus, God walked on the earth, but there are not any footprints.

The bottom line is, science cannot prove that God exists because God left no physical evidence for them to work with. If there is a God, why would He do that. What kind of a God would not want His creation to be able to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is real?

The answer is that God has indeed revealed himself to the whole world. He has so clearly revealed Himself that no man has an excuse for not seeking Him. "Romans 1: 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." Even in this awesome revelation, there is no scientific proof that God exists.

In God's plan, the only way to know Him is by faith. The thing that allows man and God to have a personal relationship is faith. Faith does not allow for proof. That is why I believe God did not planed proof of Himself for us to find. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Mark 9:23 "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Romans 1:17 "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." Galatians 2:20-21 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
It is in faith where God actually proves Himself. Believers say, "I know that I know." But because of how awesome that knowledge is, there are not words that will convince others. Only God can do that. The scriptures say that God reveals Himself, draws us, and convicts us. Faith receives Him, and all that He is. I cannot prove that, but I know that I know.
