I have been spending many years writing mainly games that would make great gameshows for either GSN, Cable or ABC,NBC,CBS or FOX. I would like to be in the category of success with say Deal Or No Deal. NBC has had much success with two gameshows Deal Or No Deal and 1 VS 100. FOX has had success with Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, Don't Forget The Lyrics and the lie detector game hosted by Mark L. Walberg The Moment Of Truth. Reality Shows have also been popular on network television since around 2000 when Survivor came to CBS. Other reality shows like Extreme Makeover Home Edition, The Amazing Race, Wife Swap, The Bachelor, American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, America's Got Talent, Last Comic Standing. Crime Shows have really got popular over the last 10 years and for me I've started to like them more because there is too many reality shows on tv especially network television. I won't say what my idea I have for a crime show but I can tell you this much it's very unique. Some television sitcoms are making a comeback. One of the top 20 shows is on CBS called Two And A Half Men. I think many shows that are created are thrived from another show. I think Two And A Half Men is bascially The Odd Couple with a kid, maid and a stalking next door neighbor that stalks Charlie Harper. The Office is another sitcom not really high ratings but has a high fan base which I don't really get it because I've seen too many sitcoms like it only with the only difference no laugh track. I am trying to write a sitcom that I hope one day gets picked up. I will say this much it's very cool and funny. So I really want to know what it takes to get a pilot episode of say a gameshow, reality show, drama or sitcom. I do feel that if NBC picked up some of my shows that they would have a hit on there hands. I also think that GSN could use a hit. I could either write my own show or go and try and revive a classic which I think could do great. I won't say what gameshow it is but there is a gameshow back in the 80's where I think I've come up with a better and more of an exciting bonus round than the original version of this show had. I think getting a pitch meeting wouldn't be easy especially without an agent. I'm not even sure first about how to go about getting an agent and also about getting what I've written copyrighted. If I could find an agent then I could maybe go and get a pitch meeting. I want an agent though who isn't going to be a crook or too super money hungry.
