I needed to believe in myself, I needed a second chance, I needed to feel as though I was worth it. So I sat outside on my porch, it is night and the crickets are singing their song, the sky is darkening, the sun is slipping beyond into another world, the moon is awakening. Each night is a second coming of the moon but it is always different, it is always a surprise, the way the light moves against the trees, the way the ground soaks up the night. If you listen close enough you will hear a new song each night and you know it is a second chance from the day before, a new beginning. When the morning comes you know it is time to begin, the freshness of the grass, wet beneath your feet, the soft chirps of the birds beginning their day, the smiles of the people you see, the soft skin of your lips. It is all new, it is always inspiring, no matter what happened the day before you can begin all over again, you can make a comeback from the mistake you made yesterday. It is always new and fresh and nice. Don't ever doubt yourself then, not in the newness of the morning, that is never the time. The birds hopping in pools of leftover water from the rain of yesterday, the words that disapeared into the wind the night before. It is all new, it is all fresh, it is all for you and no one else. I never wanted to believe but you have to then..
You have to believe when it is all in front of you....
