Poetry: Good-bye

SAYING GOOD-BYE

Looking in you eyes I saw the pain.
I saw the suffering.
I held your hand.
You looked at me and smiled.

The words I said I will never forget.
"You don't have to scared anymore.
There will be no pain no suffering.
You will walk; You will laugh.
You don't have to be scared anymore!"

Those were the last words I said to you.
How do you look someone in the eyes and say good-bye?

I saw the pain in Daddy Ted's eye's when he realized you were gone.
How was he to let go of someone as great as you?

You looked so peaceful when you passed.
No more pain in your eyes; No more suffering to bare.

You weren't scared anymore!

You were so beautiful lying there asleep.
I haven't seen you shine so bright in years!

I was sad that you were gone but yet happy for you because you are where you belong.

I will never say good-bye.
You are with me all the time!

One day you will greet me on the other side and say:

"Here there is no pain. No more suffering to bar.
You are with me now!
You don't have to be scared anymore!
