Understanding the different rail passes in England

With the price of gas these days, if you are planning a trip to England it would be cost effective to purchase a rail pass. There are many different passes to choose from depending on your needs. The most popular are the BritRail Flexipass, BritRail England Flexipass and the BritRail Consecutive Pass. There are many more and below is an explanation of each.



BritRail Consecutive Pass: With this pass, you can see all of the United Kingdom, England, Scotland and Wales. This is a consecutive pass, which means you can take the train as often as you like.

BritRail Flexipass: This pass allows you to take your time traveling through Britain. Stop in quaint towns for an day or a week. You have complete flexibility with this pass.

BritRail Passes Eurail Passholder: BritRail Passes Eurail Passholder Discount. Passengers between the ages of 16-25 will receive a 50% discount off 2nd class adult BritRail Consecutive pass with the purchase of a valid Eurail pass.

BritRail England Consecutive Pass: Hit the national rail networks of England for unlimited travel. This is also very flexible.

BritRail England Party Pass: Traveling with your family or friends? Passengers 3 through 9 enjoy a 50% discount when traveling together at all time. Offers unlimited travel on the rail networks of England.

BritRail England Flexi Pass: Ride the rails of England including transportation from Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted Airports to London. Offers unlimited train travel.

BritRail England Flexi Party Pass: Traveling with a small group? Passengers 3 through 9 enjoy a 50% discount when traveling together at all time. Offers flexible, unlimited travel on the rail networks of England.

BritRail Guest Pass: With this pass you get all the great benefits of a BritRail pass, PLUS, you get to bring a guest from the UK along for 25% off!

BritRail England Guest Pass: Visiting England? Enjoy all the benefits of the BritRail England pass and take a British resident along at a special discounted price!

BritRail Consecutive Party Pass/ BritRail Flexi Party Pass: Grab a group of friends or family to take advantage of discounted travel. Offer good for 3 to 9 people traveling together.

BritRail London Plus Pass: See all the traditional sights of London plus a large part of southern England.

BritRail Irish Sea Crossing : Take a relaxing journey on Stena Line across the Irish Sea between Britain and Ireland.

BritRail Pass + Ireland: Provides travel in Britain and Ireland.
