"Once a Dreamer..."
I used to be a dreamer
Who could be most anything
It really hasn't happened yet
I'm neither bard nor king
Somewhere I may have failed
I've not made it very far
But my dreams remain still sealed
In a nearby mason jar
It may yet be opened
In result of circumstance
Because I'm really not so old
That my dreams don't have a chance

I used to be, a lot like you
A little of everything.
I've been right with wrong, and wrong with right
And everything in between..
I used to be the one you called
The one you loved the best
Love we shared, that never palled,
Was sweeter than the rest.

"Once a Dreamer..."
I used to be a dreamer
Who could be most anything
It really hasn't happened yet
I'm neither bard nor king
Somewhere
I used to be young,
I used to be thin.
I used to be witty,
I used to be without sin.
I used to be charming,
I used to be fun.
I
I used to be
An unhappy preteen girl
Seemingly left in the shadows
Of an unknown evil
Nothing to light my world
Nothing to dry
