Calling all southern belles and dashing gentlemen. The city of Charleston is awaiting your arrival. Charleston is a city of gardens and history and it has something to offer every member of a vacationing family. You will feel like you stepped back in time when you visit this cultured and refined city.

If you have never been to Charleston and you want to familiarize yourself with the city then spend some time at the Visitor's Center and take in a viewing of Forever Charleston. It is very informative and will give you an idea of how you will want to spend your time.

The ideal way to get in as much Charleston as you can would be to take in one of the city's many tours. It is possible to do this by boat, walking, carriage, strolling, bus and ghost hunting. There are so many tour companies that you will have a hard time picking one. If you decide to go out on your own just make sure you have good map or guide of the historic hot spots. If you want to save a few dollars then inquire about the Charleston Heritage Passport. It gives you admission into nine historical sites and is good for one year.

Here's a brief listing of some of Charleston's top sites.
