That was Pete
Life was his dance and he danced it!
Even when he fell
He fell on his feet.
Pete waltzed through his days.
Sure-footed,
Easy and poised.
No tricky tempo
Or synchopated situation
Threw Pete.
His easy smile and light flitting feet
Lit the floor
Opened many a door.
While disconnected and leaden-footed,
Always an awkward beat behind,
I shuffled painfully around the fringes,
Scanning the floor
For a me-shaped space

Poetry: Dancing
Dance
It was only a seaside cafe,
My soul a tendril reaching out
Eagerly cleaving to the silhouette,
Standing on a table near
A Balinese Dancer
Exotic and alluring,
Each movement casts its spell,
Evoking myths and legends,
Such dramas she can tell.
Swaying
DOES HE LIKE TO DANCE
Quiet moments are elusive
Fear born of loneliness is obtrusive
In our fast paced world
by Scott Scherr
Pirouette on Carousel
I penetrate the mist; what's there?
A heart with dreams immune to cares.
Behold such grace of life
On high tip toes
She stretches her leg in the air
The audience is silent
As they mesmerizingly stare
With a twist of the wrist
