I find the international and global leadership people responsible for the fate and the situation of people and the way of life in Zimbabwe. It is Western values that have ultimately isolated a poor economic country such as Zimbabwe and stopped it in its own tracks. A country is supposed to be able to prosper and have economic ties and political and social links with other countries. The people of Zimbabwe have no jobs, their incomes levels are in total or abject poverty, some people might be able to sell some minerals or items found or looted and sell them to people in neighbouring countries for some money.
Whilst I am not ideological or politically minded, it is the British who installed the regime in Zimbabwe that should face the consequences of their own actions. Similarly in Iraq installing puppet leaders and governments and then making them perceived through media and political groups of people and global rulers seems to be the reaction and the wars surrounding these threats are the solution to the problem.
It is difficult scenario or not that difficult to allow or to make Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe accountable in the same way as Saddam Hussein of Iraq though the difficulties here are that there is no economic benefit it seems in carrying out conflicts in this region. If governments were to create a better Zimbabwe they would have ousted Mugabe a long time ago and turned it into a tourist area and a much more prosperous nation than it evidently is not today. Developed world governments these days have their own concerns and problems to deal with that allow the Zimbabwean problem to continue. It is not as a result of Mugabe who has created this scenario, the leaders of a democratic Zimbabwe would have had a member of Congress or an appointed member of the Houses of Parliament as their leader. Places such as Hong Kong quite rightly had John Patton now a lord as the leader of Hong Kong previous to the Chinese government hand over over 10 years ago now.
Leaders of not just the countries that have problems within their own nation are to blame, though I feel the blame should be shared more evenly. This problem did not just happen overnight, where people get killed unecesarily, raped and in having no food or shelter. This has been going on for ages. Mugabe whilst he has embezzled his nations funds and bankrupted the country, it was the world banks decision to lend African nations with money and by having these loans and interest payments that ultimately should be blamed for problems in Zimbabwe. If the cost of living by having sky rocketing inflation in a country that does not produce food or have the facilities, then why does no government externally intervene and do something about this themselves.
