Every year, without fail, there are certain Christmas movies that my family absolutely can't wait to watch. We start out on Thanksgiving Day with "It's A Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. I've seen this movie no less than twenty times and I still look forward to watching it again each Thanksgiving. What's there not to love? Jimmy Stewart's character (George Bailey) falls in love and marries his highschool sweetheart and raises a beautiful family, but then he gets into financial trouble at the savings and loan due to a serious mistake made by his forgetful uncle Billy. George is terrified of going to prison, but he takes full responsibility for his uncle's mistake. George then begins to break under the stress, starts to take his family and friends for granted, and then he gets the crazy idea that if he commits suicide then his family can use the life insurance money to pay back the missing money to the bank.

George jumps into the freezing river only to be rescued by an adorable, clumsy angel named Clarence. If Clarence is able to help George out of this mess, then he will get his wings. This is where all the fun begins. George wishes he was never born and Clarence grants that wish. George gets to see what the world would be like if he never existed. George soon realizes that he had a wonderful life and he's willing to do anything to get it back, even face prison. George rushes back home and is met by the bank auditors and all his loved ones. If you want to know how it turns out, then you'll have to watch the movie. You won't be disappointed!

Another of my favorite classic Christmas movies is "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. If you like romance, beautiful women, talented singers and dancers, and a story that will warm your heart, then you can't miss "White Christmas".

A movie that will be loved by kids of all ages for years to come is "Miracle on 34th Street". Whether you watch the original classic or the more recent remake under the same title, you can't go wrong. I've seen both at least a dozen times each. You're never to old to believe in Santa, and you surely will after you watch this movie.

Another must see Christmas movie for the whole family is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". Dr. Seuss hit a homerun with this classic!

Then there's always "Frosty the Snowman" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". These are timeless classics that you will love whether you're 2 or 102 years old.

Why wait for Christmas? I don't. I love Christmas movies so much that I watch them all throughout the year. Any time I'm feeling a little under the weather or just want to watch a heart-warming movie, I dig through my collection of classic Christmas movies, throw on some snuggly pajamas and kick back with one of my favorite movies and a huge mug of hot chocolate. It does the trick every time.
