How an ectopic pregnancy is treated

What is an ectopic pregnancy? The ectopic pregnancy is also called ectopic position. According to the positions, there are tubal gestation, ovarian pregnancy, abdominal pregnancy, cervical pregnancy and pregnancy in rudimentary horn, etc. Among the ectopic gestations, tubal gestation is the common one.

The ectopic pregnancy is easily neglected, and often misdiagnosed, which increases the risks to the pregnant women who suffer from it. In order to know how to prevent the ectopic pregnancy from happaning, we should know who are likely to have an ectopic pregnancy. Usually, the woman who suffered or suffers from the following disease are likely to have an ectopic pregnancy.

1. appendagitis, pelvic inflammation,
2. operation on oviduct ,
3. barrenness,
4. ectopic pregnancy history.

If the woman has the intrauterine device in her body, she is subject to an ectopic pregnancy, too.

* Measures taken:

1. To prevent or cure salpingitis
Since the most common cause of the ectopic pregnancy is chronic salpingitisit is important to take measures to prevent and cure salpingitis.

2. To apply first aid measures
If you suffer from tubal gestation, you need to have immediate blood transfusion. At the same time, there should be an operation to resect the foci.

3. To take conservative treatment
Rumors say that kneeling and exercises might work sometimes, but it rarely happen. However, it is better to take conservative treatment and try to reserve childbearing functional abilities.

Ectopic pregnancy is a sort of comparatively risky gynecologic sickness. So, in daily life there should be measures taken to prevent ectopic pregnancy. When it happens, don't get panic. If possible, go to the right hospital as soon as possible. Usually, you should seek advice from the obstetricians as soon as possible. Usually, there are rare chances for the fetus to continue growing and get born. Once in a blue moon, it happens. So, don't ask if you can bear the fetus any more, but ask how to prevent it and prepare the possible operation.
