Sex and morality in society

My writings in this article will be based on fact. Some, when they read this will feel as if this is merely an opinion that I am granted to have. I tell you that this topic is of interest to me not only because of the subject matter, but because of the actual positives and negatives on the subject of sex and morality in society.

Sex, when experienced between two people who are actually in a marriage bond and in love, can be a marvelous thing. There are two reasons why. One, sex can become one of the deepest displays of physical love there is. Notice I say one of the deepest. Reason two is that the joy of being able to procreate through sex is one joy that is incomparable in the human race.

Yet, sex and morality in society is quite like using a piece of kleenex. Use it once and throw it away without any second thoughts. Especially in western society do we see more unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, abortions, divorces, pedophilic cases, homosexuality, the list goes on. This, all because of low moral standards and a debased, disrespecful view of sex.

Sex is a gift. It is a gift granted from God himself. He gave man and woman the ability to have sex and have children. This He allowed within the sacred bonds of marriage. For the first two humans were married by God himself. After that, it became the pattern for human morality. Sex within marriage protects people from so many harmful things such as diseases, broken emotions, children being born without both parents, and children being born where their is question on the matter of who the father is. When sex is reserved only for the two that have been yoked together, it serves somewhat as a protection against divorce because of an unfaithful mate.

Many people may not think this to be so. But just look at the statistics in different regions where sexual morals are frowned upon. I am sure we can just think of cases personally where people are suffering because of making light of sex and morals. This is not a case of judging someone but looking at a case of bad judgement. I have personally been guilty of making bad decisions in regards to sex in my younger years.

One thing that I look at when it comes to sex is the consequences and repercussions of making light of such a sacred act. There are major diseases such as AIDS, hepatitus, and herpes that cripple people for the rest of their lives. It affects them when it comes to their health, their family relationships, and possible romantic relationships that
