also get a share of the additional revenue given to writers for their participation and star level.
Epinions.
Another site which pays writers for content, this site depends upon writers writing reviews on products, and occasionally a little creative writing, although the creative writing side of the site is relatively small and doesn't pay, merely being a playground area for writers. The articles need to be pretty detailed, and are rated by peers. Here, there are seniors who will certainly advise if articles are not up to scratch. The likelihood of gains long term are extremely limited, unless you are a regular contributor, since reviews tend not to gain revenue after the initial week in which they are posted to the site. This isn't one of the best revenue sharing sites, though is a good alternative for those writers who are American.
Dooyoo.co.uk
Dooyoo are a revenue sharing site with a difference. Like Epinions, you will be expected to write articles on products, though they have a neat section which covers current affairs and allows you to have your say. They also have advice areas where you can write articles on lifestyle, though this area of the site is limited. The pay you get from their revenue depends upon other members reads, rather than public ones, which is a shame and seems to forget who writers write for. Doing a comparison of what would be gained from public reads, as shown above for Helium, Dooyoo articles have a very short earning lifespan. In the initial week the article is posted, it will earn, though after that, may as well be posted elsewhere, since it will gain little reward.
There is a system of crowns for outstanding articles, meaning that those who write better quality work are rewarded, though again this only occurs to that one week when the article is posted, giving the articles a short timescale in which they actually earn money. Dooyoo pay via Amazon vouchers which is really handy, or by check to a UK address, meaning limitations to anyone living outside of the United Kingdom.
Associated Content.
Another American site that pay from their revenue, Associated Content earnings are very slow indeed in comparison with Helium earnings. Many articles are paid for in a one off exclusive payment, though what many writers fail to notice is that this one off payment is pretty poor in comparison with Helium whose payments long term are much more generous. Comparing Associated Content with other sites, this would have a pretty low rating, and perhaps
